The world promises success, rewards and happiness if we will pursue that which it approves.  But the only approval that matters is God's.  Striving to please God because you love Him and are grateful for all He has given you in Christ is the best thing you can do for people — wether or not you gain their approval.

Re: WOW! Powerful Meeting!!
I agree Betty! We always have a blast at Womens Connection. I love that we talk about everyday womens issues. I always leave feeling better than when I first arrived. Thanks for being such a great leader of our group! We all just adore you and look forward to getting together every month! :)
Re: Saved and Set Free Through faith alone in Christ!
This is beautifully said! I feel very strongly about this topic- people who are right there- on the edge of wanting to believe and asking Christ to come into their heart, yet they don't, for fear that they will never be perfect enough or "Christian" enough. I have met some people like this and I just think it's so important that they know that Christ loves us SO much that He gave us the gift of salvation and eternal life by dying on the cross for our sins, in exchange for our faith and love to Him.
Re: The God Who Is
<3 Love this! Very well said and so true. :)
Re: A Legacy of Faith of Joy
I loved the analogy you used about the cross-stich pattern making no sense until you turned it over to see the "finished" side. That is so like life ... some of it just doesn't make sense to us, but God always sees the "finished" side and we will too some day! Thank you for your diligence in helping us understand and better see God in our lives every day.
Re: A Legacy of Faith of Joy
It is funny how a mother's love is unconditional. This is a great reflection on how God loves us. When you said, "One day we will see the beauty that God has created out of the mess of this life. Trust Him until He does. Those in your life will see your trust, and trust Him too!". I truly do believe this and it could not have been put into words better. It is funny how things always seem to work out in the long run?!
